Hero Builder

Hero Siege farming locations

Where items come from, taken from the client rather than from anybody's notes: 169 places, 153 of which name at least one item, and 1,119 items with a source recovered.

Two rates appear on these pages and they answer different questions.

A base rate is the chance of an item dropping anywhere at all. The client stores it as a plain one-in-N number and rolls exactly that, so "1 in 334,800" is the figure itself and not something worked out from it.

A place rate is the same item in one particular place. The client keeps a multiplier per place and applies it to the base rate, and every real multiplier in this build is below 1, so a place an item belongs to always beats farming it at random.

Neither figure includes Magic Find, difficulty, or any drop-rate buff. All three make the number smaller in game.

By part of the world

By item

The other way round: every item that has a recovered source, grouped by what it is, with its rarity and the places that name it.

Named targets the journal quotes 62 targets

Some items name a target rather than a room. These are the client's own strings, exactly as the journal prints them.

How complete this is

A drop source was recovered for 1,119 of 1,975 catalogue records. 143 of those name specific places, 95 name only a target, and 866 carry a base rate and nothing more, which means they can drop anywhere.

Of the 856 without a source, 726 are white bases and 100 are runewords, which are crafted rather than dropped and have pages of their own.

Zones in Hero Siege are procedurally generated, so a place tells you which zone to run, not where inside it to look. Nothing on these pages is a community estimate: every place and every rate is read out of the client and republished on every deploy, so a patch changes them here as soon as the data is re-extracted.
